One year of Modi Government

With Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s government completing its first year in power every rational citizen of this vibrant democracy can feel the difference. We are able to see the model of ‘Minimum Government and Maximum Governance’ getting implemented.

This government has taken many aggressive legislative steps to address ‘Ease of Doing Business’ issues by launching eBiz portal to reduce unnecessary delays in various regulatory processes required to start and run businesses.

The initiatives of Shri Modi Ji’s government like ‘Make in India’, ‘Digital India’ and ‘Skill India’ will catalyze the entire nation towards becoming a global force. Other innovative schemes like ‘Jan Dhan Yojana’, ‘Atal Pension Yojana’, ‘Suraksha Bima Yojana’, ‘Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana’ will make every penny from the exchequer trickle down to the last man in the queue. While ‘Annadata Sukhi Bhava’ will ensure continuation of ‘Achhe Din’ for farmers, ‘Shram deva Jayate’ will empower the labour with dignity.

Shri Modi Ji’s flagship ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiaan’ has turned out to be a master stroke in improving our cleanliness status.

Modi ji has been a brand ambassador of India across the globe and his foreign policy has been instrumental in getting us large commitments of foreign investment and made India as a destination that is investor friendly.

The focus of this Government has been development and steps have been taken in all sectors to enhance the productivity by extending the best infrastructure and introducing conducive policies.

India’s transportation sector that constitutes six percent of the country’s GDP is pioneering his development agenda. Shri Modi Ji’s government has vowed to upgrade and strengthen highways and expressways in the country. It has brought transportation in the priority sectors under “Make in India” initiative.

The present government has also taken a slew of steps to develop not only the twelve major ports but also the minor ports that come under the control of state governments to ensure that waterways along with the surface transport and highways contribute at least two per cent to the GDP in next two years. Under Hon’ble Prime Ministers guidance a task force has been commissioned under Chairmanship of Hon’ble Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari ji with a focused mandate to facilitate simplification of procedures by leveraging the use of Information Technology (IT) in the Ministries of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways.

It is heartening to share that the commissioned task force is working overnight to bring a paradigm shift in the concept of transportation vying today. Working on one of its suggestions the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. has been created to expedite development of highways in the North-Eastern region and border areas. Neglect from the previous regimes has bled the region for decades.

In order to bring evenly development, Union Road Transport and Highway Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari Ji has consented to relax norms for the northeastern states, particularly Arunachal Pradesh, for executing the Trans-Arunachal Highway project. The highway is a life line for the far flung areas falling along disturbed frontier with China.

Be it Nepal or Yemen , the steps taken by Government of India has been appreciated worldwide.

This journey that has just begun has many more milestones to achieve. As Winston Churchill said, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” We must continue the good work courageously with higher energy levels and re-make India the Golden Bird of the Globe.
